Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police 7th Annual Sports, Games & Duty Meet, 2025 was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate Police Parade Grounds. Cyberabad CP Avinash Mohanty, IPS, along with Jt CP D Joel Davis, IPS, Zonal DCPs, released balloons and pigeons to mark the occasion. Prior to the event, the Commissioner received the ceremonial salute from the police athletes from various zones and declared the 7th Annual Sports, Games & Duty Meet-2025.
Avinash Mohanty congratulated the staff participating in the Sports & Games and encouraged all Police personnel to actively engage in these events. CP emphasised that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. He stressed the importance of incorporating physical activity into daily life, whether it be walking, running, playing football, tennis, badminton, cricket, swimming or any other form of exercise.
He said everyone should make physical activity a part of their daily routine to maintain overall well-being. He urged senior officers to take part in at least one event to make the Sports Meet a success.
This year, in line with the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate’s commitment to the health and well-being of police personnel and their families, several health camps have been organised. These camps included cancer screening and other essential health checkups to address a variety of health concerns. The Commissioner urged everyone to prioritize regular health checkups, as they play a vital role in safeguarding individuals from lifestyle-related and other diseases.
CAR Headquarters DCP Sanjeev stated that police participants from five Law & Order zones and other wings are participating in the Annual Sports, Games and Duty Meet 2025 which will take place over four days from January 21 to 24. He urged everyone to participate in sports and make exercise a part of their daily life. Over 953 Police personnel will be participating in these events, with more than 150 women staff members actively engaging in the sports activities.
CAR Headquarters ADCP Shameer said over the next four days, a variety of events will be conducted for both men and women separately. These include 800 meters running, 100 meters running, Kabaddi, Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Long Jump, Shot Put, Carroms, and Chess.
The participants were divided into nine teams.
